Simple Nutrition for Busy People

About Tara

Welcome to The Diet Diva’s Dish!  This is my place to “dish” about what I am reading, eating, and thinking about when it comes to nutrition and food.

Meet Me

I am Tara Gidus.  I am a registered dietitian who wears about 14 different hats at any given time with my nutrition consulting business.  Most importantly, I am Mom to two energetic boys, Basil and Levi.  I am a spokesperson, speaker, writer, counselor, and consultant to all things nutrition.  My passion is to help people get more energy so that they can follow their passions and achieve their mission and purpose in their own lives.

I am a past spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association and I continue to provide insight to journalists to assist in translating the very complex science of nutrition to more simple terms that everyone can understand and apply.  I have a regular spot on local and national television stations and am quoted in various websites, magazines, and newspapers frequently.

I live in Orlando, FL where the summers are miserably hot but the winters make it all worth it. You know a certain famous Mouse who lives here, too!

A few of the titles I hold:

Let’s Have Fun

My goal is to share with you my thoughts on nutrition.  I like to clear up the confusion about nutrition–it changes almost daily and it is difficult to know who to believe.  I will share with you new foods products that I find that I like and I promise that I will always be fair and honest about what I like and what I don’t like.  I will follow the FTC guidelines for bloggers and will disclose if I have been given a free product to review or if I have chosen to work with a particular brand or company that I am writing about.

Please visit often, subscribe, and comment!  I love to hear from you, too!

14 different hats? I think that’s an understatement!
